Patent Lawyer |
The firm is seeking a counsel lawyer with a PhD in a Biotech discipline to join the Austin or Houston office. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience as a patent lawyer. Duties include, but are not limited to, drafting patent applications and other documents during all stages of the patent prosecution process with the US Patent and Trademark Office and with foreign patent offices, including preparing appeal briefs and/or preparing petitions or responses to post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trials and Appeals Board; taking invention disclosures and coordinating and corresponding with inventors, lawyers, and clients; conducting and analyzing the results of prior art searches; assisting with patent due diligence, and maintaining knowledge of the latest patent laws in order to assist lawyers with drafting legal documents. Preference is for a PhD in Austin; though the Team functions across geographic boundaries and suitable candidates should not be discouraged from applying for a position in any of the Austin, Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio offices. Corporate Finance Lawyer |

The ideal candidate will have prior work experience working on commercial lending transactions, loan facility work, and negotiation and documentation of other senior and junior, secured and unsecured finance transactions, and ideally some securitization experience. The Washington D.C. office of Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking an experienced lawyer to join us as Counsel for the Regulations, Investigations, Securities and Compliance practice team with experience primarily in U.S. export controls (BIS), sanctions (OFAC), and other international trade related regulations (e.g. customs). The candidate's experience in these areas should include counseling, training, licensing, opinion work, filings, compliance audits, internal investigations, responding to government enforcement actions and developing and implementing relevant compliance policies and procedures. Ideally, the client will also have experience in other types of investigations related work and/or national security matters (CFIUS).
