Knowledge Paralegal

The Knowledge Paralegal primarily supports the US Director, Knowledge Services to manage the firm’s knowledge collection, including indexing, organizing, categorizing, assigning keywords, auditing and maintaining the collection.  The Knowledge Paralegal will actively participate in the capture and dissemination of knowledge in the firm, will provide document automation to internal and external clients and will assist with the creation and management of collaboration platforms.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Build automated document templates and packages
  • Facilitate knowledge document processing in an efficient manner, following Norton Rose Fulbright house style through the use of document automation tools and traditional software development
  • Gather and load knowledge onto the electronic knowledge management system and update system as required
  • Customize workflow and collaboration portals and other bespoke technology offerings through a combination of technology products, making use of out-of-the-box solutions, no-code systems
  • Monitor, approve and submit payment requests for subscriptions and library assets
  • Assists in providing legal and business research services as necessary

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in MLIS or a similar information sciences degree
  • Paralegal certificate or other legal education a plus
  • Minimum three years of law firm or corporate legal department experience
  • Ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment and handle concurrent projects with high quality results
  • Advanced research skills through both traditional and non-traditional sources
  • Experience with knowledge document managements systems a plus
  • Willingness to provide after hours, overtime, and weekend support as necessary
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under rigorous deadlines and in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
