eDiscovery Project Analyst

The Global eDiscovery Services Department provides strategic technology and methodologies to the Firm’s disputes lawyers and clients.  The Project Analyst role assists the Project Manager to provide consultative support in the application of eDiscovery technology solutions. This position requires a strong interest in and aptitude toward technology. The Project Analyst position offers a career path to the eDiscovery Project Manager and Senior Project Manager roles within the Global eDiscovery Services Department.  The Analyst role is positioned at the intersection of the law and technology, and the appropriate candidate will receive training through the Department’s strong professional development and mentoring program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with Project Manager to assist in the setup and management of eDiscovery databases for document review, analysis and production
  • Maintain documentation regarding collection of electronic data collected from clients in connection with discovery obligations
  • Organize and prepare data for loading, processing review and production by the technical team
  • Assist Project Managers to apply AI and sampling methodologies to reduce the overall cost of eDiscovery in dispute matters
  • Generate productivity metrics to measure productivity of document review lawyers
  • Assist Project Managers in training lawyers on the Firm’s eDiscovery and case management platforms
  • Generate reports and conduct searches on the eDiscovery platform as requested by dispute lawyers
  • Monitor and remain apprised of developments in eDiscovery and litigation technology

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum one year of work experience in an office environment required
  • Experience in eDiscovery and document review, prior law firm, corporate legal or eDiscovery vendor experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment and handle concurrent projects with high quality results
  • Willingness to provide after hours, overtime and weekend support as necessary
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently with appropriate supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively with lawyers, vendors, and other key project stakeholders; strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under rigorous deadlines and in high-pressure situations
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Professionalism, personal integrity and high degree of confidentiality
  •  Reliable, flexible and a can-do attitude in all situations is essential
