e-Discovery Project Analyst

The Project Analyst will assist the Project Manager in providing consultative support to legal teams regarding the application of litigation technology solutions to manage eDiscovery efficiently and enhance client relationships.  This position requires an understanding of litigation technology and the ability to effectively organize and manage concurrent Practice Support projects under the supervision and direction of the Project Manager.  The Project Analyst will support the Project Manager in advising the legal teams in areas of document management for both paper documents and electronic data, including document preservation, document collection protocols and methodologies, document review strategies and document production.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with Project Manager to assist in the creation and management of databases for document review and production by legal teams
  • Assist Project Manager in the training of attorneys and staff on litigation support tools, including document management and review systems
  • Assist Project Manager with consultations with clients’ information technology professionals regarding corporate electronic infrastructure and storage of electronic data in order to develop collection/preservation protocols and consultations with client employees to develop paper collection protocols
  • Maintain collection logs regarding electronic data; organize departmental files/notebooks of media and documentation regarding active matters
  • Assist Project Manager in coordination of projects with imaging and coding; assist in managing deadlines and quality assurance of the vendors’ work product
  • Organize and prepare data for imaging, loading, review and production
  • Generate data reports and conduct searches per request of legal teams
  • Monitor litigation hold notification systems; create reports for legal team and client review
  • Monitor and remain apprised of case law developments in electronic discovery and litigation technology

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum two years of legal experience
  • The ability to handle multiple, simultaneous projects with consistently high quality results
  • Willingness to provide after hours, overtime, and weekend support as scheduled or as necessary
  • The ability to work both as part of a team and independently with appropriate supervision
  • The ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, vendors, database analysts and other technology professionals
  • The ability to work efficiently and effectively under rigorous deadlines in high-pressure situations
  • Highly developed communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem identification and resolution skills
