BI Process Lead

Reporting to the COE BI process owner, the BI process lead will provide leadership, governance and support for the systems and processes relating to the Reporting / BW function. The role will facilitate the design, documentation and implementation of best practice, policies and processes to support the effective administration of Reporting / BW in the GPMS solution. The individual will be the Reporting/BW subject matter expert supporting regions and the GSC in troubleshooting issues relating to BOBJ reporting and reconciliation with ECC. This role will work closely with the regional BI leads to ensure regional requirements are met within the framework of global alignment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the continuous improvement and evolution of the Reporting/ BW business policies and processes in collaboration with senior stakeholders
  • Support regions adoption of Reporting/ BW policies and standards across the global organization
  • Ensure that agreed KPI’s and SLA’s are met and adhered to whilst driving a continuous improvement mindset
  • Work alongside NRF regional staff and third parties to ensure continuing stability of the GPMS system
  • Manage stakeholder engagement with Process Owners, Analysts and SME’s as required to ensure a full end-to-end solution
  • Assist regions and GSC with day to day activities relating to Reporting/BW
  • Chair weekly BI calls with regional stakeholders and facilitate continual feedback cycles
  • Work closely with other CoE areas to understand and manage impact of upstream process change on BI
  • Drive strategic BI initiatives through regular consultation with regional stakeholders
  • Contribute to the GPMS knowledgebase
  • Other activities as directed by the BI Process Owner and Director of CoE

Qualifications and experience:

  • An undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or related field, preferred
  • Advanced level knowledge of the global business processes and systems
  • Previous experience working within a SAP (ECC & BW) environment
  • Sound knowledge of the Business Objects reporting platform
  • A high level of computer literacy and competence
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with a client service driven approach
  • Good problem solver with a logical and methodical approach to issues
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Flexible approach to working hours and ability to travel to NRF regions
  • Positive, committed and prepared to use initiative and learn
  • Ability to take responsibility, meet deadlines and work under pressure with multiple tasks
  • Willingness to work as a member of the team and the ability to influence the team
  • Ability to successfully collaborate with various regional stakeholders to achieve results
  • Ability to analyze and design business processes and performance measurements
