Client Accounting Technician

The position of Client Accounting Technician in the Houston office requires self-starter to become proficient in processing client and matter paperwork submitted by the firm’s attorneys. The candidate must have excellent customer service skills to communicate with lawyers and legal staff. Some overtime will be necessary.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Respond to various daily inquiries regarding Client Accounting matters
  • Review paperwork associated with changes to clients and matters for accuracy and appropriate approvals
  • Process requests that are submitted to the process management application (Intapp workflow software)
  • Create and respond to help desk tickets within ServiceNow
  • Assist Client Accounting management with special projects and other administrative tasks,. including planning meetings and reviewing emails for distribution to direct contact for handling
  • Assist with troubleshooting the online expense management system
  • General administrative duties


  • At least three years of experience in a professional environment, preferably within a law firm
  • Preferred experience with a legal industry standard financial systems database (eg. SAP)
  • Flexibility to work independently and in a team atmosphere with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality and professionalism
  • Customer service oriented with strong communication skills and the ability to interact well with people at all levels of the organization by phone, email and in person
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong team player a must
  • Ability to consistently exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Detail oriented, with above average spelling, language and grammar skills
  • Strong computer skills, including proficient in Microsoft Office and strong data entry skills
