Marketing Events Assistant

Our Houston office is searching for a full-time Events Assistant in our Marketing department. The highly-motivated, detail-oriented individual will work closely with our Senior Marketing Events Managers and Coordinators to assist with logistics associated with onsite and offsite marketing and business development events.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with execution of firm events, conferences, seminars, exhibitions and related activities
  • Prepare handouts and nametags for events
  • Track RSVPs, feedback and coordinate post event-analysis
  • Source promotional items, maintain inventory, and mail/return products
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices by processing expenses via an online expense management system
  • Organize and lead all marketing led webinars
  • Draft presentations and proposals
  • Liaise and collaborate with other marketing staff on other projects as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in marketing or communications
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with contact management database; understanding of InterAction is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (e.g. grammar/spelling/proofreading)
  • Understanding of the marketing concept and needs and expectations of law firm lawyers and clients
  • Previous professional services, corporate or law firm experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, and various online databases
  • High regard for confidentiality is essential
  • Ability to travel as needed
