Client Receipts Supervisor

Norton Rose Fulbright has an immediate need for a Client Receipts Supervisor to support the firm in the client accounting process. This position supervises the Client Receipts Coordinator’s day-to-day functions to ensure daily and monthly activities are executed accurately and completed in a timely manner. Key accountabilities include supervision of client receipts and management of revenue related administrative tasks to include, but not limited to, queries from attorneys and firm staff. This position works directly with the GSC (Global Service Center) Finance Manager to guarantee the process of cash receipts is adhered to and in compliance with the firm’s practice.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Address concerns and queries via e-mail, phone calls, and walk-ins within a timely manner, as agreed upon by management
  • Run ad-hoc reports on an as needed basis, as requested by management
  • Access the firm’s online bank account to research deposits, transfers, payments, and credits
  • Liaise with bank representatives as necessary
  • Balance batch reports to bank credits
  • Work hand in hand with the AP team as it relates to Trusts and transfers
  • Maintain Capital and Trust accounts
  • Maintain Capital account payments received from the partners
  • For Trust accounts, open sub-accounts and maintain balances and record interest bearing escrow accounts monthly
  • Process unclaimed property once a year and track notices sent to the vendors regarding any uncashed check(s)
  • Research and correct payment discrepancies and communicate the same with clients
  • Review and approve expense requests as they relate to intercompany billing and/or Trusts
  • Review and approve weekly timecards and complete annual staff evaluations
  • Monitor and control the flow of clients receipts and disbursements
  • Serve as the “go to” person for questions from the Client Receipts Coordinator(s)
  • Serve as the liaison between the Client Receipts Coordinators and management
  • Facilitate staffing levels to ensure coverage in order to meet deadlines and any additional workload requests
  • Ensure efficiency of the process of the GSC (Global Service Center) and recommend improvements where necessary


  • Five years of experience working in accounting within a professional services environment
  • Experienced with Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred but not necessary
  • Law firm or professional services cash receipts application experience
  • SAP familiarity is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced business environment
  • Ability to perform duties and responsibilities independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility working within the firm’s defined deadlines and lawyer’s time frames
  • Must have a professional, cooperative, and positive attitude
