IT Project Manager

The Houston, Texas office has an immediate need for a Project Manager in the Information Technology department. 

The Project Manager will lead projects and programs which will interpret, affect, and implement management and operational policies, and affect IT and business operations. Assignments will span all levels of duration, budget, complexity, and risk. The successful Project Manager will manage multiple, concurrent assigned projects and/or programs, owning primary accountability for project delivery at all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of project management experience, with both waterfall and agile methodologies.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage assigned portfolio of multiple projects and/or programs) with consistently high quality results
  • Lead and document meetings, workshops, and executive-level briefings
  • Build relationships to bring stakeholders (both co-located and geographically dispersed) together to reach consensus (project scope/requirements), determine a course of action (statement of work), deliver quality according to the plan (project schedule), and manage changes, issues, and risks
  • Adapt/scale the project management approach and communications style per the unique needs of each project and team
  • Manage team member project  performance and vendor delivery  to ensure timeliness and quality
  • Maintain a continual focus on process improvement to identify areas in which efficiencies can be gained through use of technology and knowledge resources
  • Lead due diligence research efforts and RFP issuance and analysis
  • Consistently model calm professionalism and excellent client service behaviors for team members at all levels of the organization
  • Exercise discretion in handling both firm and third party proprietary information.
  • Assist in the ongoing development and training of project management protocols


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, required
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exemplary meeting facilitation techniques
  • Excellent grammar and written and oral communication skills
  • Experienced/interested in information technology operational infrastructure, software development lifecycles, and database management processes and terminology, with a willingness to develop a level of subject matter expertise per the needs of the project/program
  • Proven project management and business analysis skills including, the ability to define organizational requirements, build and manage schedules, manage issues and resource constraints, work within budgets and manage change proactively
  • Flexibly in schedule to work overtime or take calls and meetings outside of regular business hours for global projects
  • Regional or international travel may be required as defined by the needs of the project or department

Software Knowledge:

  • Intermediate-advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel and SharePoint
  • Recent technical experience with SAP databases, integration, automation, and testing
  • Intermediate experience with project scheduling tools and portfolio management systems
