Fulbright has earned the top rating of 100 percent on the 2010 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), an annual survey that ranks large U.S. companies' policies and practices concerning lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees.
The survey is administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the nation's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization. Fulbright is one of 88 law firms that achieved the top score this year. Overall, 305 businesses with collective employment of more than 9 million full-time workers were top rated.
The 2010 CEI rated 590 businesses on a scale from 0 to 100 percent using several factors, including non-discrimination policies, domestic partner benefits, and providing insurance that covers transgender-related treatments.
